Raceglaze is another car detailing outlet. They also sell the DAS-6 polishers. Just put 'car detailing' into Google for hundreds of results. If you're going with them I'd go for their Glass and Chrome Polish as being finer than the Metal Polish. Autoglym do a similar Glass Polish (which I think is chalk rather than talc) - note not Rapid Glass Cleaner which is a handy detailing spray hard surface cleaner like Meguiars Quik Detailer. The thing is, a lot of money is spent on developing car cleaning products because there are lots of cars, the best ones are those used by professional spray shops.

Thinking - polishing by hand is not only laborious but not that effective.


Polishing old spectacle lenses to revive them with jewellers rough by hand left them 'misty', using the DAS-6 random orbit with a very soft 2-in spot foam did a better job, but using the Black Max was better than the jewellers rouge, it is that fine. I don't have shares in Britemax and I'm only on the second bottle having done several cars, it is used very sparingly, a teaspoon at a time.


The company I originally ordered from had sent me a sample bottle of the stuff, probably enough to do all the paintwork on half a dozen bikes.


By the way, jewellers rouge, might seem like a good idea at the time, and does have its uses polishing bone guitar nuts, but it is very messy! Pink goo everywhere.
