Yes Gwilly, they are about but they're far less intrusive than the windfarms. The ones around here generally have sheep in the fields too so it's double your money for farmers.

Solar farms have sprung up near us in South Northamptonshire. The clue to location is that they are usually near pylon lines, the operators of the farms want to feed into the National Grid at lowest expense. However, you almost certainly won't see any more of these schemes after 5th of April as the subsidy comes to an end, hence the mad rush to complete the projects, they've worked day and night on one near us!
