They're working on high output, low consumption LED headlamp "bulbs" for the classics here: http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.c ... s-shop.php While they look exceptionally promising, the H4 version is rather bulkier at the back and they warn it won't fit bikes with the speedometer in the headlamp casing, so that sadly rules out the Royal Enfield casquette headlamp casing, WD B40 BSAs, nacelle Triumphs and BSAs, late 50's Ariels, Nortons, Matcless and AJS, er... any others? Having fitted a proper Lucas (pattern!) headlamp shell on my Electra-X, I may try one in in your old Neolite unit if they're not too dear. A.
