And if you did click on an email or link, then go do a full computer virus scan.

I have never had a virus or malware on my mac, but I still have ClamXAV antivirus, so that if need be, I can start a scan quick.

better safe than the surprise owner of 17 ferrari's, £25,000 of stuff you never had on your credit card, and your bank saying that your life savings have just been withdrawn from Cameroon!

Hi guys------A friend of mine had a phone call from someone apparently at Microsoft wanting to do a free "health check" for him---------That was an interesting 5 mins. as my friend works for a sub-company of Microsoft !!

--------also, don't forget that you can "import" a virus from a dongle stick, disc etc. or any remote, plug-in device that has storage/retrieval properties..............I scrapped an old freebie laptop a while ago but decided to use the hard drive disc clipped into a plug-in player to almost double the capacity of the desk-top Compaq that I now use..........Fortunately my Kaspersky Anti-Virus detected 1 virus and 1 malware and blocked them....Phew, that was close !!.........I've had the disc sanitised at my local Computer shop and all's well now....

If you forward the whole message to [email protected] they will look into it and notify you, but make sure you forward the message and not copy/paste. the more people that report these scams the more they can prevent it from happening. As stated do not open any attachment or click here.

They're all at it - I received an official looking e-mail this morning from HM Revenue and Customs saying I'm entitled to a refund of £468.50. All I have to do is fill in the form with my Bank details to get the payment.
