@Barnes Thanks Ed thats kind I hopefully should be ok on the basic stuff as I do most of the basic servicing on my bandit. I was more concerned about stuff like removing a sprag clutch etc if it packed up as I would leave it off. I am nursing it at the moment doing kick starts and the decompressor to switch off and trying to keep it for traffic light stalls etc!But thanks again its much appreciated regards. Kev

@Nettshubby (or any Sixty 5 riders) out of interest are you using the Sixty 5 standard seat If so do you find it's ok when riding but presses uncomfortably against the inside of your thighs when you put your feet down when stopping at traffic lights etc I was thinking of changing it for a single seat but as you are a long term Bulleter I thought I would ask!Our forum hosts seem to have a good selection. Grumps, I found that too and recently bought an Indian copy of the single seat fitted to the new unit single Cassics, which I found really comfortable at the NEC last year. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it to fit with the springs supplied, so made up my own solid mountings. Also the quality is nowhere near as good as original, espacially the custom mountings for the iron bikes. Lots of drilling and filing needed. Plus I stupidly managed to drill through the sponge and cover whilst trying to drill the base for my mountings! It also "sits" a little higher than i would like, needs a cutout putting in the rear to sit a bit further down over the mudguard. I'll try to take a pic to see what you think.

Grumps here (hopefully!) are pics of my single seat conversion. I have taken the tool box and electrics cover off to access the coil for boyer installation.

It looks good though Nettshubby,And more importantly comfortable!I checked the rear tyre on my bike manufactured 25th week of 2002!So wheel taken out and dropped of for tyre replacement £3 for the fitting (New tyre and tube from same place)so not worth the struggle. I really like the quick remove idea for the back wheel. and the way the mudguard tilts forward (if you have a single seat) My dual seat is off at the moment along with the mudguard and supports. Glad its not just me who found the seat a problem but had not heard anyone else mention it so was beginning to wonder!I wonder if one from our hosts would work trouble is you cant try before you buy so need recommends.

Grumps, about the seat, my financial advisor, (the wife!), has agreed I really need a better seat so I may be having a trip to our hosts to hopefully view some single seats, if you fancy a trip down? You can reply to my e mail in previous posting.
