Speedos sometimes do stick at the speed you were doing when you fell off ...

Had a wee look... The under side of the nacelle is a bit beat up. Speedo mounting is rammed into the speedo from below, mil light almost popped up and out from below but seems fine... Same with ignition switch. Must have been the force through the headlamp that did it. Speedo seems totally goosed but will see.

The bike can be repaired.. good thing is, you're not damaged too badly. Buckets of sympathy from me..

I have a spare Smiths style speedo on which the MPH works, but the trip is stuck. It should fit. You can have that but long term the contemporary one is probably best

Ooooffff, very nervy, twitchy ride in this morning! Everything seems OK on the bike, but my confidence is definitely not that great at the mo... I thought you were supposed to get back ohn things when you fell off them? At least that is what I was told as a child!
