Hello JOHN L,------------ yes, you might well have done...But as they say}-- the asking price is not the selling price..............I think that with the first-batch UCE bikes now appearing on the "Used" market in any numbers, those early/old Iron Engined machines will see their values drop initially.......... then possibly recover as their "Easy maintenance" will start to appeal (possibly) to the Ex-UCE owner who doesn't want a bike full of electronic gizmos ....... I do understand however that estimating the value of any vehicle that's outside its' expected mileage-for-year can be difficult..............It'll be interesting to see what price it does fetch ( if SOFIASPIN will let us in on it, that is ??)..

Alan, with the first batch of UCE's appearing on the market, out here they have been flooding the market since 2009, within 6 months of release they started appearing on the second hand market

Thanks guys interesting comments and chat. I agree with Alan's last comment that there will probably be a rising demand for late model carb bullets in good condition. Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems difficult to source a nearly new early 2000 ES bullet with next to no mileage, as this one is. My last one was an 04 in trials trim with 1000 miles on the clock, had lain unused for years when I bought it 18 months ago and did not drop any oil when it was rebooted and did 5000 miles last year and it went like a train. Great bikes, so I think £2k is fair. It will need an amal mk1, mega exhaust, 5 plate clutch and so on to make it a road burner - LOL - but maybe worth a punt for a decent punchy town and touring bike.

Sofi, first post you state 04 and in your last post you mention 02 just be aware that 02 will most likely be left shift Albion and that has its own problems

Hi guys------------ I know it's only the one example and is just a guide-line but this recently sold on E-Bay}--------- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Royal-Enfield ... 2gbCk%252B --------- clik onto "see original listing" for the full details................. so maybe the £1,500 to £2,000 IS a realistic price range after all ?? ( But then I'm known as being a skin-flint at the best of times)........
