Those have a driven sidecar wheel as well the bike’s rear wheel. Better for off road use but unfortunately they’re not allowed in trialling.

My son and I entered the 2012 Fellside Northern Trial on a trials combination, they are indeed the work of Satan.
It was a steep learning curve, compounded by the fact that they will roll over if provoked.
