Hello all.

Since my question concerning Constellations over a month back (thanks for the responses) I;ve keot looking aroud the web with no decisions made. The same thoughts have been going through my mind, i.e. a newish Triumph Tiger 1200, a Redditch Edition Bullet, a classic, either a Triumph or something along the lines of a Constellation or perhaps Meteor, or perhaps, just perhaps, a new Himalayan, all hanv e their pro's and con's. Some for the same reasoning, others for different ones, with the addition of another RE being one of the favourites.

The faourites are now, after riding one, are the Himalayan, or a classic RE. Totally different machines odf course, but the downside of a classic is fettling gtime, or the lack of it. With the Himalayan, hopefully anyway (wink), this fettling time won't be needed (hard to type with all your fingers crossed!).

Anyway, as such, I had a ride on a Himalayan yesterday, and it's certainly impressive, but different to that of anything but the Tiger, but certainly not the same as a Tiger either.

There will be a video soon of the ride, but in the mean time, has anyone had any dealiongs, good or bad, with Jones & Alcock in Stafford? Since JC's in Brum' are no longer dealers the next neraest RE dealers are all quite a trip away, being this one, Coventry or The Cotswolds. At least Stafford is fairly easy to get to by train, should the need arise.

Many thanks,

Chris.

Not personally, but Nigelphoto used to frequent this forum. IIRC he had issues with them. Perhaps you can search the forum? Stafford is my old stamping ground, though I moved in the late seventies. Cyril
Chell’s place is still there. Jones and Alcock are way after my time; never been in their showroom despite regular trips back to see relatives...

Cheers for that. Have done so. Not much though. Lets say at best it's 50/50 (ish) so far.

Chris.
