I'm seriously contemplating buying a new bike in the spring. What is there to choose between the B5 and the Classic. I actually like the B5's looks better, plus it's cheaper. Anything I am missing about the Classic?

you'll miss everything, John, the essence of 1950s (60s, 70s, 80s etc) motorcycling and all that goes with it!

Hi i bought a b5 liked the dual seat and bigger tank cant see the point of solo sprung seat on a bike with rear shocks, b5 has lightweight chain replaced with rk 530hd, chucked the skidmasters away put a set of k81s on much safer.had prob with fuel line too long kinked on the bend i spotted this not the dealer so much for we inspect every bike, prefer painted tank not to happy with indian chrome marsh grey looks great.same frame and motor and brakes.both have same long log type muffler an easy swop .but you pays your money and you takes your choice

I'm in a similar situation, love the fuller rear mudguard but don't like the ' RE wings" on tank ( didn't know there was a difference in their capacities)

And just when I'd made up more mind to sell my 2007 Electra and get a new 500, the 650 Interceptor comes along! What is a man to do??

Hi scotty - you would notice the point of seat springs with suspension if you rode a C5 for many miles. Seat is not comfortable (!) after about 50 miles and suspension is hard on these machines. As for choice between C5 and B5? That must be personal but there's nothing that you'd be 'missing' were you to choose either - they both are what they are. My choice would be C5 - but that's of no consequence to anyone except myself I guess!
