Carl, which is the best way to get to the location at Sainsbury's car park? I am familiar with Calne and it has a rather labyrinthine one way system so I was wondering which approach is best. If I'm coming down the A4 from the east (Marlborough) is that easiest or coming into Calne down the A3102 from Wootton Bassett?

Hi Mark M, that is a very good question and I recommend coming in on the A4 from the east (Marlborough). Follow the A4 all the way into Calne town and cross the traffic lights (you will know you are there because opposite and on the right of the junction is a stainless steel sculpture of the Queens Head). Follow the road up a small incline and cross a second set of lights then take the right hand lane travelling toward a mini roundabout, turn right at the roundabout and that will take you into the Town Centre. Go through the narrow one way street, across the zebra crossing and turn right at the second mini roundabout and right again at the third mini roundabout (with a BP garage on your left). This final road takes you past Sainsbury and the car park is on the right immediately after a zebra crossing. Once in the car park go to the farthest end and we are in the left corner. It will be hard to miss us, because of the all the chattering we will be doing and lots of Enfields.

A big thank you to all who came along to our stand. I missed most of the action while I was away on the other side of town marshalling for the event but I understand it went very well with lots of interest in the bikes and possibly some new members joining us at our next meeting.
