Thought this may interest anyone in the North East. This Sunday the Royal Corps Of Signals motorcycle display team will be performing for the last time at the Durham Police open day at Aykley Head, Durham. Details from Durham Constabulary website. A great shame that this is coming to an end after ninety years, I remember seeing them at the Royal Tournament when I was just a lad.

The mod said they looked old fashioned, so what are they going to do instead? Race digital radio systems?

That's funny I went to see the last ever performance of the white helmets at Sandhurst on 18 June

It reminds me of the 70's when I went to see the last ever performance of the shadows 3 years running!!

Hi Scalyback------- OK, I was being deliberately "coy" as this is a family show after all ( LoL !!)--- but we all know what these guys are really about, don't we ? ( Wink-wink )...

Hello - went to see the display at Bikewise in Durham on Sunday, routine was pretty much what I remember from a display I saw in Durham circa mid 70's. I stood down where they started the bikes and the noise from the open pipe Triumphs was excellent.

Isn't it just ??----------They were on display at the Oswestry Show Ground last year right alongside our 5" gauge live steam railway where I was driving at the time.........I managed to have a chat with their Sergeant and asked if they had any trouble obtaining spares but he said "no....not at all"....I have a T140 Tiger single-carb and offered to join-in ( Pensioners on Parade !!! ) but he eventually declined ... when he'd stopped laughing that is !!
