Youtube observations.

Having watched a few youtube vids on dodgy drivers, it seems that audi drivers have got a bit of a stereotype for not using mirrors etc.

Just found this on the net... very satisfying!

Totally agree, had them up top end of scotland, didnt know about passi g places on one lane roads just came bargeing through, got the shits with that and just kept the foot down. Audis drive quite well in the heather seem to have taken over from volvo drivers in the stupid race.

Volvo used to be the company car of choice but now it's the Audi. Some Reps only care about getting to the next client meeting, not other road users in their way or discarded in their wake.

Usually, fitting a dash cam will cause close-shaves and crashes. That`s why I don`t have one.

Really? And how does it do that? The major car manufacturers are still trying to get driverless cars to work, now if we re-programmed the dashcam...

Oh dear. When I bought an Audi A3 11 years ago they didn't have the reputation that BMW and Mercedes had for being used by inconsiderate, selfish and aggressive drivers (a gross stereotype in itself) but sadly it seems that the BMW/Mercedes etc lot have gone over to Audis. I still have an A3 as it's an excellent car, but it's the few idiots who get noticed and the rest of us are tarred with the same brush. As well as driving the Audi, I ride a 500 Bullet and two Moto Morinis; my approach and attitude towards other road users doesn't change.

According to Top Gear, Audi is the new BMW in terms of arrogant drivers; then again who cares what they say. Re dash cams those who post on YouTube may soon be in for a rude awakening if Govt plans come to fruition, as it is deemed to be an offence. If I found someone had taken a video of my excellent advanced riding and driving and posted it on YouTube, I would certainly demand that it be taken down and also I would seek retribution (though not divine) against whatever sanctimonious t*sser thinks he video me without permission and post it on YouTube. So there.

Someone on the French forum posted a Go Pro or similar video of his ride on a Bullet and the camera software automatically seemed to pixelate out vehicles' registration numbers, it might even have done the same with peoples' faces. There were all sorts of restrictions on how law-enforcement agencies gather video evidence under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (not just the police), so it's no surprise to me that this sort of thing could be clamped down on for individuals on social media, whether or not it's right to do so. I suppose we should try and stop the notion of trail by Facebook or Youtube.

Well as far as I am concerned, if somebody is going to go use a vehicle and do something stupid in (or on) it, then it is a public service to let others know. There is no restriction in the UK for filming in a public place, oh wait.... didn't one of those dash cam vid's catch some MP's wife reversing into another car ..........?
