Like others, I do like the look of the panniers on your bike.

I am sorry for the belated question, but what with the thickness of pillion mounting bracket, and the front mounting point of the pannier frame, were you satisfied that there was sufficient thread left exposed on the shock mounting bolt to ensure enough nut engagement, especially on the left side which also has the lifting handle?

Hi, a follow up question for Jefrs, I have the same leather panniers as you on my 2016 Classic and am not too happy with strapping them directly to the mudguard frame. You mentioned that you have modified the Electra frames and I was wondering how much work you had to do to make them fit ? I can see that the leading mount will use the shock top bolt but where did you attach the second mount point ? Thanks
