Hi,

I'm a relatively new RE owner, had my 2005 500T bullet for nearly a year but it was held up in my garage until I passed my test in July, I'm in Brighton UK by the way.

Cheers

There are ways to post pics here Brokelad, if you look at previous posts there will be one that explains how. Otherwise just wait for "Scalyback" to come along and he, being a bit of a whizz with all things 'puter wise, will put it into simple words that everyone except me understands! Meanwhile welcome to the board matey and look forward to being even more broke once you start buying go-faster bits from Mr H's catalogue :)

You need the HTML code from your Photobucket account for this picture if you're posting a it here, **NOT** the forum code. You can refer to Scalyback's notes, and I've also posted a quick how to on Omit's Thunderbird thread. A.

What a joy to be seen on the seafront on.

But be sure to wash the salt off him/her every so often.

It looks very switched on, and ready to go. The tyres look neat as well, good for bumming around the devil's dyke, where you shouldn't really take a bike, SHHHHHH!

What a welcome!
Cheers peeps. Specially you Paul for posting my image for me.
It's a lovely bike I must agree, and a very different animal to my learner bike (Yamaha TW125) and the Kawasaki I did my DAS on. So far it's taken me to work (only 4 miles I not Brighton town) a few times and riding it in traffic is 'different' to the bikes mentioned earlier, the brakes are......interesting! I have attempted to adjust the front brake and I think it's improved.
So far on my voyage of discovery I have:

1.changed the oil and filter.
2..adjusted front break
3. Fitted new earth lead
4. Insulated the battery cover with a slither of an old inner tube to stop the battery shorting out.
5. Looked at it quite a lot
6, polished the shiny bits
7, ignored the really greasy bits
8, eradicated an oil leak somewhere near the engine head by positioning the oil filler cap on the first position (controversial?
9, done about 60 miles

So there you go, early days and not quite an expert but lovin it..

Cheers

Craig
Ps. Anyone coming to the Brighton burn up on the 13th September?
