Good (bad) bye Youtube!

I uploaded a vid to youtube with music that I wrote and "performed" on Garageband on my mac.

Youtubes copyright content system told me my music was copyrighted by some company, and they put adverts on my vid, with the money going to the company that had claimed copyright. You can dispute it, but it takes up to 30 days, whilst the company continue to take money from my work. The final decision is with the copyright company and if I try to argue it, I can get a 'strike' against my youtube account!

Scaly is this a bit like what is going on with Chang Jiangs at the moment, a Chinese seller has claimed copyright on the name Chang Jaing, CJ750 and several other combinations so now nobody but he is allowed to sell CJ parts on ebay, ebay remove them

See, this is why I have my own website/server. Which costs me a measly £15.00 a year. That way, I can put whatever I want on the net and noone but me can fiddle about with it. Youtube is going downhill fast. Too may encroaching ads since Google took it over.
