Scrumptious Sunday
The hollyville was in full swing again today. There were visitors from near and far, including a couple of Dutch guys who had ridden their Triumphs from the Netherlands.

It really seems to be becoming quite an event. There were many more marques there today, which made it all the more interesting.

There were two Sunbeams, two HRD Vincents, A matchless, an AJS, a couple of Nortons, A Velocette, at least half a dozen BSA's, but the prize for the greatest number of any mark went as usual to Triumph. There must have been 15 to 20 of them there. OH, there was a Royal Enfield too!

Bertie the Bullet's owner turned up on the 'NC' and it was nice to meet again. Chatted to a few people from last week and had a very nice time. Here are a few pics.

09:40 I had arrived a little early, and looking out of the window, I start to wonder about the lack of bikes.

By 10:20, the parking area was ablaze with colour, from polychromatic to chrome and power blue and just about every other colour under the sun.

That second HRE Vincent again, It caused quite a stir!

I am planning (Weather permitting) to visit again next Sunday. Watch and hear the bikes come in and go out, chat to their owners about them or just walk around admiring them. A good breakfast, beautiful bikes, friendly owners, what more could you want on a Sunday morning?

To those new to the board, Tornado, the green military R.E. is mine and I am still chuckling about my trip home.

Imagine the looks on the faces of two KTM riders, who were out green laning with their trials bikes, coming across and ancient looking enfield with avon road tyres, tearing down the shale!

I was taught how to ride a road bike on loose stuff, it's all to do with exact lean angle, and correct wheel positioning especially in ruts. If you get it right and don't go too fast, you don't slide about.

we all met at the end of the byway and they just stared at Tornado while I said, "Bet you weren't expecting to see us!"

I never abuse or throw Tornado about, but this particular byway is mostly well graded, and not all bumpy, so we go there! (Pilgrim's way).

I wonder what they will tell their mates about what they met down the byway !!! LOL!

Looks like a great cafe Scalyback. Wish I could find somewhere similar near here (Barnard Castle). The Manor at Belerby only seems to attract "widow makers". There are some great rides in this area, ideal for classic type bikes.

The HRD was especially nice, I could tell by the owners grin that he knew it as well, don't see the NC though, you neglected to post a photo lol, never mind.. P.s. The cafe does a very nice bacon sandwich.
