I went along to the Motorcycle Show at the Excel. For the first time since I’ve been going, RE was there and I had a first look at and indeed sit on, the Conti GTI; just as good “in the flesh†as in pictures! (First look because I live in Guernsey – none on the Island yet!)
In the spirit of “if you like that, you’ll like theseâ€, HMC bikes do a little retro-styled Chinese import. More interestingly, they were showing their own prototype of a Honda –powered 400 single café racer which looked as if it deserved to succeed- perhaps with a Yamaha engine they said. Thinking about £4500 for that.
Also, remember MAC motorcycles? Weird looking bikes with Buell single engines, which came to naught when Buell shut down? Well they are still bubbling away on the developer’s back burner, with a non-weird bike powered by the same engine, now built by Harley. Maybe one day…
Indian are back again, re-launched by Victory and looking pretty much like their bikes Otherwise the usual suspects!
