Totally agree with you on the handling. I remember riding a Z1 Kawasaki and being horrified when I tried to make it take a corner. I think the ridiculous claims of. BHP might have been an issue with the British dealers though as they also made ridiculous claims for the top speed of luxury cars. There is an excellent Top Gear episode dealing with an E Type and a DB5. I think it was part of the ethos that spurned the consumer rights legislation that we have today. I have to say whilst I admire some of the Jap bikes particularly the ones from Mr Honda who was clearly a genius I don't actually want any of them. There is something about English motorcycles particularly between the thirties and the fifties that does it for me. After then it's all Italian for me! S:)
