I may be wrong, but seem to recall the paint is 380, camo dessert sand!
could be wrong of course!

Forgot to add, if it IS BS381 380, then this might help to obtain correct paint.

Ha-ha !!-------- I think those rear shocks were more of a trial piece that I did earlier in the year ?? ...but they can always be painted over......Would the BS system have been around in the mid-50's ??.................... These bikes show the kind of effect I had in mind >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Image -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Image -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Image

What a beautiful bike!?

I was wrong! seems the paint is most likely to be No.61 B.S.381-1930 Light Stone, which nowadays is BS381C 361.
This was certainly used in Africa during WWII sometimes as the base colour for the two tone dessert scheme, the darker colour being, No.34 B.S.381-1930 Slate Grey, which is now BS Colour number 634 (not in the BS381C chart, but more ’left out’ from it.)

Hope this helps, PS the arm of service colours usually are depicted with white numbers on them, but i think this does not apply to motorcycles.
