Hi chaps thanks first of all for the support. I have mailed the rallymaster for a dispensation
because riding accompanied is precluded in their rules. I would love to have done this on my enfield but it probably wouldnt happen because I wouldnt be happy to attempt it without a full rebuild which I couldnt afford as only returning to work last week after my last heart attack and I would also need to revise my electrics for a sat nav and to be honest she runs quite well for my needs at the moment. The iron butt chaps might also exclude me on health grounds and it it all goes ti** up then I will do something similar maybe all the Enfield agents in the uk in 48 hours lol.Till that point keep on with the pledges as the BHF sponsor research into all aspects of heart health.Ps Mike will ring tomorrow night as its late now.

Ha ha that would be ironic Noel if they bar you from raising money for the British Heart Foundation because you have had a heart attack in the past. If you call Monday you need to be aware thatI am out at a NOC Christmas dinner and will be away from my phone from about 6:00 Monday evening.

Mike tried the number comes up not recognised so please check.Devon John true it could be done on an enfield but aside from my previous post I have done my risk assesment lol and feel that two rest periods would suit me better than one and to do this must approach the ride as a riding speed averaging 60 which in reality means riding the bulk of the ride at 70mph (honest officer). Mr H has not come back to us yet so would someone in the know tip him a wink.I am looking at making this ride starting from Rochdale lancs and doing an anticlockwise circuit south down the m6 turning east then m1 or a1m north into scotland so a visit to hitchcocks is feasable if they are close to the motorway network. The good news is I can do it with their(iron butt) blessing but am recommended not to do it as part of the spring bank rally which has tighter rules and more fannying about finding poi etc and I can pick a weekend without bank holiday traffic. Ps Paul are you coming the full route or just a section of it coz if the former you will need an auxilliary tank /Fuel stops cost time.
