Having now looked at the photos, it does seem that rather a lot of work will be needed. However, optimism prevails!

Thanks for all your ideas and support. I've bought a workshop manual and I've been watching youtube vids and I reckon I'm going to have a go at it myself in the first instance. The camden m/c shop sounds like a good backup plan.

I'll stick to the battered saddles and paintwork for a while. In future I could see me painting it army green, buying tan seats, and popping a sidecar on it. But one thing at a time, eh?

I like the idea that the compression could fix itself. I'll cross my fingers for that one!

Hi Alan, sorry dont mean to hijack, but that seat reminded me, i meant to ask where did you get that seat on the number one enfield, got red piping, cant find the thread now with the picture on.. just remember it looking the dogs doodas.. cheers gwilly.

Hi guys----------- Yes, it is a bit of a looker, eh ??........It was bought from Rod over on the Midland Bullet Riders forum......... I believe he had it made specially, but not sure on that.......PETE (Staffs) can you ask him ???---might just be a market out there for a few more...................................................................................................................................
