Anyone know if there is an active REOC branch in Sussex (south coast)? I emailed them but to no avail. Alternatively, Sussex Enfield owners interested in ride-outs? I have lots of outings on my 'other' machine but it'd be good to hook up with RE owners for rides which we're all moving at approximately the same speed (ie slow!).

Don't believe there is currently an active Sussex branch though I know there are many Enfield owners there, especially in the Brighton area who may read your posting & respond.
I guess it depends on where in Sussex you're located but next door in Kent we have a very active branch with members across the county.
As a REOC member you will see our branch contact details in 'The Gun'.
On 14-16th June we will be holding our annual official REOC rally (inc. rideout) at Kingsdown, nr Deal (full details in next Gun) to which you & any other club member nationally are very welcome.

Many thanks for that Mick. You confirmed what I suspected: we're here but we're not necessarily organised! I'm in Worthing, so Brighton's on the doorstep but Deal is a bit of a hike on a 350cc with knobblies. How does one go about founding/reinstating a REOC branch (not that I'm even a member)? Alternatively, any riders within reach of the south coast who want to gather for informal meet-ups/ride-outs please get in touch (engineman at tesco dot net). As I mentioned, I have chums to ride with on my 'big' bike but it's a bit lonely on the Enfield. Thanks chaps, Jerry.

Hi there ... just completing install of elec ignition on my late fathers 56 super meteor so should be out ont the road soon! just downloaded the MOT excemption form so all set - just got to time her up get a battery from hitchcocks and should be up and running in Sussex soon )) !
