hi all took my 1959 350 clipper i have been restoring to dvla yesterday to get inspected for new log book ie i had no paper work apart from dating cert from royal enfield owners club was told one week earlier when i booked the inspection that the bike had to be insured and if there is no record of the vehicle on there system ie frame number the price is fifty five pound not the twenty five i was expecting it was fifty five regards harry

It's been 50-odd quid for quite a while, I got an age related on my re-imported Interceptor nearly 3 years ago and it was £50 then. The plus side is tax is free and MOT exempt so cheer up!

Hello Harry, So your just about ready to go, just need some decent weather.

I don't think £55.00 is over the top in this day and age, two tanks of petrol.

Do you get an age related reg number? Any problems of interest with the refurb?

Hi guys--------- I have just sent a V62 "Application for Replacement V5c" to Swansea---- this was £25..... I also hear on the grapevine that local DVLA Offices are to be closed down soon ??? Anyone know anymore about this ???

Yeah, that's for a replacement not a "new" registration. On subject of DVLA closure, they are all going to be closed (thank our cheapskate Government) and we'll do it all online. Right, cos that always goes well doesn't it. Having said that, my local office (Northampton) who have always been very helpful, has been reprieved until the end of the year at least so possible hope there? REgards, Mark

I may have to do this inspection thing with an old kawasaki one day.

So dumb question, How do you get it inspected if the local offices are all closed??

Is there nominated garages? Man come to the house? How will it work? clueless...
