hi west riding chaps ,the mystery tour rideout is from the reindeer at 7.30pm thursday 15th november,(anyone who,s on facebook can post this on the page) atb paul.

well the mystery tour was a great ride out ,too cold for some members who turned up at the pub later ,i personally thought that the weather was better than most of the summer evening rideouts as it was dry!!!4 intrepid riders made it ,with the diesel section in full attendance ,next months midweeker will be on the 20th of december, although the weather forcasters are predicting poor weather we will see ! atb paul.

Glad you had a good night Paul. I think I'll be in the car for a while, the bikes getting stripped due to 'mystery rust'

chris i,ve had another thought on your mystery rust,is your garage still doubling up as a swimming pool?if so that might be your problem?atb paul.

Hi Paul

Yes garage pretty damp, but today had the forks and casquette off. Looking down the headstock tube with a torch and reading glasses there's bearly any rust apart from a very fine surface dusting that can be wiped off with fingers. The problem is that the headstock tube is a seperate chamber to the downtube, so I can't see whats going on in there. The only solution is to tip the whole bike upside down and pour some kind of rust treatement or hot waxoil down the bottom of the downtube.

hi chris ,dry the tube out with the mrs,s hair dryer before a thorough wax oiling ooooh er mrs atb paul.
