I like the lack of snobbery amongst fellow RE owners. I've met some rather sneery types at swap meets over the years particularly amoungst the Velo Fellows and some of my fellow Ducati owners are just down right scary! The good thing about our group is that there seems to be a genuine willingness to share information and help out where ever possible. This is not so with many of the more sought after marques. I suppose it's probably largely to do with the excellent availability of parts through our fine host and others that mean that one is not competing for a dwindling resource. I've notice a similar openness and lack of affectation with the AMC crowd possibly for similar reasons. I know that a friend of mine who restores rarer machines says that you have to keep possession of precious bits quiet otherwise you can have all sorts of issues.

 Simon,

I think most of us have suffered the trauma of an engine meltdown or several, so it brings in a sort "Huggie"situation where we sympathise with each other because we have the "been there done that" mentality . Can't be snobish around Enfields
