Hi I have a 53 Meteor with the earlier style Albion box.. I am struggling with the selector assembly.. I can't work out where the springs go in relation to the selector plates etc... It's different to the later gearbox and the parts book doesn't have a decent exploded diagram. Neither does the workshop manual or hand book.. Help

Hi, the round spring fits as per later boxes. The long spring fits around the gearchange fulcrum and over the inner change lever. As the lever movesit pushes on the spring which is tensioned against the stops. Vince.

Hi, Just intrigued how they are tightened up? Vince. Ps Grease/Oil the clutch pushrod on assembly will help with a light clutch pull.
