I want to replace my ageing lead acid battery YB14L-A2 on my outfit that only gets occasional use. So has anybody had experience with the AGM batteries, one being the Westco Sealed AGM WCP15L or similar. Are they worth the extra price and are they more effective or have yo recommendations of other types or should I stick to the lead/acid type?

I got fed up with traditional lead acid batteries for my original Electra-X and went for an AGM Battery, the Motobatt MBTX14AU, it transformed the bike's starting and made the E/S usable again, at least until the sprag clutch failed!

I also fit AGM batteries to all my bikes. Some large battery supplier websites will list batteries by size as well as part number. You may well find an appriopriate AGM can be a lot smaller or, conversely, you can fit a slightly higher capacity one in the same space.
