I do have a picture of the very thing Chris is talking about, taken at Watsonain-Squire's open day some years ago. This IS a back tye (Avon SM Mk2) actually fitted to an Electra-X outfit too, so there ought to be room for one of these or the sidecar triple duty tyre.

Sounds like fuel starvation. Take the carb apart and clean everything. That might do it. Failing that, can you borrow another carb and try with that?
Another thought is, put a little fuel directly into the cylinder and try that...

Hi thanks for the advice I found the pushrod had become unseated, back in place and adjusted correctly running like a dream now. Thanks D

Both of my father's last bikes, a BSA A65 and a BMW R80/7 had Squire sidecars fitted. I inhertited but sadly pranged the BMW outfit, although it was sold on and repaired.

If for whatever reason I fancied a RE Electra-X outfit it would have to have one of these fitted.
