Kick start comes into its own

My 2018 Bullet Efi died - clicking sound on electric start. So recharged the battery on the optimate and it was dead as a dodo. Red warning triangle on Optimate. Then I was reminded of the kick start by a friend - and it fired up. These kick starts are a great addition long may they continue! Sometimes we forget how good these Bullets are when modern batteries die!

They are not an addition, they are part of a "real" bike.
It beats me how some maker's have the gall to offer bikes without kickstarters. I believe some even try to foist us off without centre stands as well !

Transpires the warranty on a battery on a new bike (bike is 16 months old) is just 6 months. It had been properly looked after with a mix of long distance rides, short fast day trips and chugging into town. A Yuasa YB14. Batteries nowadays just seem to lack staying power.

Batteries these days do not lack for profit margin. Most are made by Boogaloogastani refugees out of twigs and mud....
