Indicator wiring

Having just replaced the clutch cable on my 2009 Bullet Electra EFI, I find that the offside front (right hand) indicator does not work, whilst its rear partner flashes at double time. The bulb is fine. Investigating inside the headlight shell I have found that the black wire from the indicator is no longer attached to anything. In very basic layman's terms, can any one tell me where it should go (please don't be too rude!). Looking at the wiring diagram (does anyone understand these?) it seems that it should go to the same terminal as the black wire from the left hand indicator. I expect that I am entirely wrong.
It is a while since I have been on this forum, my EFI being pretty reliable apart from dreaded sprag failure - fingers crossed!
