The previous owner was running this bike on a B6ES. I bought a new plug from hitchcocks - they gave me a B7HS for this bike. I'm not sure what to go with out of the two? Can anyone please advise?

Redditch 350 Bullets all had short reach plugs so our hosts are correct, I am surprised the long reach plug did not damage the valves or piston - lucky escape there.

The previous owner was adamant that a long reach was correct for the bike, it has not really run that well since I bought it. I am really confused now. I have put the short reach in but no response kicking it over with tappets adjusted.

As the barrel has had a plug thread insert it now takes a long reach plug.

Something very dodgy going on here - if its a short reach plug - you replace the insert with a 1/2" one - not 3/4" ( long reach ) - basic engineering,

Alloy head = 3/4" reach plug
Iron head = 1/2" reach plug

So Cov Lad what do you have?

I'm pretty sure that the barrel is iron and the head alloy.

To the best of my knowledge - I have never seen a 350 cc Bullet - either iron or alloy - that took a long reach plug .

All 350 Bullets take a short reach 1/2 inch plug. Using other than 1/2 reach could easily create problems.

(Only exceptions will be 'user' modified heads to take a different reach plug).

See page 94 in host's catalogue for confirmation.
