It looks like I will need to change the rear Pirelli Sport Demon on my 2015 Conti GT.

I have been looking at the prices and also at other brands, Avon, Michelin etc as whilst happy with the tyres they are on the higher side price wise for tyres that look relatively on a par.

So I was wondering if anyone has swapped brand and if so, what too and can they recommend?

I always found the Pirelli tyres a bit skittish - especially on rough and uneven road surfaces - my second set were Avons and I must say a much more stable tyre all round.

They aren't on a contiGT but I have a set of Avon roadriders on my 612 bullet and can't fault them.

I have a friend (who races bikes at the higher end of the club racing level) who had them on his very well sorted out RD500 and also rated them highly.

I also put a set on my wifes CB500 and have found them to be confidence inspiring both in the wet and the dry.
