Hi, i have a 1966 gt fitted with a 389 monoblock which is worn out so i decided to buy a new one! But hitchcocks advertise correct carb as 376 but manual says 389. Which is correct ?

Not sure I understand. Hitchcocks online parts book says its a 389 and thats what they supplied for my 67 GT a couple of months ago.

The very first GT's had a 376, then they were fitted with a 389. I have heard that the last few were fitted with a MK1 Concentric but no experience with that. For 1966 it would expect it be the 389 which is confirmed by the parts books on this website.

Cheers guys, i phoned hitchcocks and they said the same about earlier and later ones.
Their carb advert only had a 376 one but i phoned and ordered a 389 correct for my year and arriving tomorrow
