why does it take bleeding ages to warm up ? 2009 500 bullet- it will not rev ,till its hot..
any clues ?

Bullet engines run very cool, even on a 32c day in Australia the temperature will seldom reach 50 C (the cause of the dreaded mayonnaise) should at least be in the 80`s, and if it is Winter where you live, then you are goosed.
Best to just go for a run until it heats up
By the way, how are you checking the temperature?

Is it still running fuel injection or has it been fitted with a carby?

when it allows me to rev it and ride away is when I,m thinking its warm enough - till then it just dies if you try to rev it,

thanks Norm,
I was still in two stroke mode , it pulls away perfectly when I leave the choke on...
but I still cannot start it from cold with the kickstart- I do all the recommended sequence , I,ve even put a new battery in.
