Hi people , engine management light has popped on , do I have to take it to a dealer or can I disconnect then reconnect battery , I tried starting the bike without the fuel tank on

Do you mean the service reminder light?

OK - nothing to worry about - because you tried to start the bike with the tank off it has thrown a fault - give the bike 2 - 3 cold starts and it will reset. Mine was just the same when I did the tappets.

Hi Wayne thanks for the reply , first ride the engine light went out , got to do the service light , when you did your tappets did you use the timing Mark's or something down the plug hole , if timing Mark's what lined up the best , line before the T or T or line after the T

Trisaki, the "T" mark on the rotor (central marking) is what indicates top dead centre, the line before and after should not be used for this reference.
