Hi I am interested in what others are using in their mk2 Interceptors oil wise?
Neutral can be hard to find when hot using 40 straight oil in gearbox and tqf in clutch.I am also using Donnington 40 in the engine should I go to 20w50?
Cheers

Engine was designed for multigrade 20/50, why dd you use monograde? Gearbox oil was originally 50w (I think,) but I use a modern hypoid 90 gear oil. Works fine and as I have it on the shelf for other bikes it's convenient. Primary works better with ATF (automatic transmission fluid), TQF is a gear oil and therefore the wrong stuff?

Sorry Mark I meant ATF finger trouble.
Sounds I was on the right track with gearbox and primary and I used straight 40w as that was one of the recommendations in the manual and like yourself it was on the shelf. I am doing oil changes now so will order a high zinc 20w50 thank you. I have straight 50w so will use that in gearbox and ATF in primary. Thanks again.
