Hi, I am wanting to change the iffy ignition switch, but the replacementbis fully circular, w/o the cut out. How do I remove the chrome base plate on the casquette so I can make a new one to fit, rather than butchering it and losing the ability to revert to oem? Thanks, Steve,

To remove it from the casquette, remove the headlamp and tap the ignition switch adaptor out from the underside, it's a tight press-fit.
