The breather will only spit oil into the breather if the engine is overfilled with oil.
The EFI has a trap below the breather spigot to return oil to the engine.
The breather is supposed to go into the air box. This pulses the plenum chamber which aids induction. It's a fuel injection thing. It accelerates the air along the inlet tube. Plenum chamber is the large capacity air box, also note long tube to throttle body; these are typical for fuel injection. Don't be inclined to remove the breather pipe from the air filter, this will cause a small drop in performance.
Check the oil level is between the two marks and not at the top mark, do not overfill.
