Hi All i have just fitted a 535 8.5 omega piston [accralite] and i find that i get bad pinking bike has 242klms since rebore running on 95 octane .
previously had 535 7.2 piston fitted but no longer available. timing is set with timing light at half throttle on 32btdc. any ideas.
new olympic sport how far can you push an enfield in 5 minutes.

Hi Scotty, 1/ either try expensive petrol or retard the ignition slightly until pinging stops, 2/ about 500 yards at a guess.
