Hi Has anyone used or recommend the Spark delay unit for the Electra X that Hitchcock sell.
I understand it can help prevent damage to the Sprag bearing assy.
My Electra X is a 2005 model and apart from rubber bits and pieces now starting to fail has performed very well.

To save time, the separate spark delay was introduced as an add-on for early models with the black TCI box. Later bikes were fitted with a green TCI box with the spark delay built in, which the previous importers also offered as a retrofit to earlier bikes.

Check what your bike has, as it may already have had the black TCI swapped for a green one. If so, forget about getting a separate spark delay box, but if not and you plan to carry on using the electric start, get one and fit it.
