After refurbing front brake (new seals, pistons and pads) and fitting a braided hose I thought it was at last safe to add a Power Commander to the free flow exhaust and K&N air filter I fitted a few years ago and unleash another 0.5bhp from the might efi.
Yesterday evening I removed the seat and tank and identified and loosened the various electrical connections. This evening I routed the PC wires, made all the connections, loosely refitted the tank and fuel pipe and the thing fired up first time and settled to a nice even tickover.
Tomorrow night I'll cable tie everything in place and refit the tank properly before adding the seat and taking it for a short test ride.
Anyone one here had any experience of fitting a PC, what to look out for any obvious tips, etc? I also bought the blanking plug for the exhaust from our hosts but the PC instructions make no mention of removing the sensor so thought I would give it a try with before I wrestle with the inevitably heat locked thread of the original.
I'm hoping for less 'hunting' at tickover and less variation in performance depending on temperature, weather, etc and bit more pull for two up riding. I wonder whether I'll notice any difference?

You should have a small square dongle that plugs into the connector on the bike that the lambda sensor plugs into. Just under the front of the tank. You can leave the sensor in if it wont come out but should not be connected.

Thanks Haggis, I wondered what that was for, doh!

It's all back together now, fitting was pretty straightforward, starts and ticks over nicely but I've added a piece of foam to the single seat so waiting for the glue to dry on that before trying it out on the road. Hope I can keep the front wheel down ; )
