1992 500cc Bullet, parts list is 141530, but this would appear to be significantly different to the suggested 801024 'replacement'. 141530 is 142mm o/a long with a 50mm long straight section, required to clear the long engine plate stud through the frame. The listed replacement is longer (160mm) though much stiffer but the straight section is too short to clear the stud. Anyone else had this problem and how to over come the problem please.

Am I picturing the correct stud. Part 110210? If so, I wish my mainstand would sit high enough to foul any part of the spring on that, I'd be able to corner twice as fast!
Which begs the question, is it sitting correctly or is it too high? Is all as it should be with the stand bump-stop? It's a tubular spacer over the stud as standard but can be replaced by an adjustable cam (Part 35060) to allow you to try to wind the stand as high up as possible before it starts fouling the exhaust. Maybe it's got one of those fitted and it just needs adjusting? If those springs were touching the stud on my 350 bullet, the stand would have been rattling against the exhaust long before.

Yes the stud is 110210. There is no adjustment on a 1992 model, there is a flat plate on the stand which stops on the spacers on that stud. All as from the factory I believe. Never hit the (original) silencer.
