Bumpkin, I have an '07 electra X and use a NGK B9ES plug. That's the plug what was in the bike when I bought it secondhand. I do ride the bike "on a positive throttle". can someone tell me how the heat range compares with the Bosch W3CC? Remember this is a lean burn engine and it does what is says on the tin.

A quick internet search will help, call this up on your internet browser and scroll down to page 6, it's in the left-hand column.

For Electra X an NGK B8ES is a good choice for winter. And B9ES for summer.

Bumpkin, Kentish Man and Ericpode, can I assume that you are Electra X survivors? If so may I ask how you are getting on with this particular breed of Enfield? I am aware of the issues with big ends, sprag kick back etc. I have recently viewed an Electra. The said issues stopped me making an offer. However I have a tiny seed of hope that some people may have managed to live with them. I just wondered how your big ends are and if you have clocked up many miles, especially whilst on longish trips. I would one day love to do Lands End to John O Groats - it could be the perfect journey for this bike or a complete disaster.
