Hi

I want to replace my fuel cap. Can anybody confirm if the hitchcocks fuel cap below, will fit my tank.

Hi, no it will not fit. It has the same fitting as the type in the bottom photo. Vince

+1 to Vince, the one in your top photo is for the older tanks with the UK style filler neck.

This is the sort you're after. I presume our hosts also stock them.

Thanks both for the helpful info.

I was hoping to fit an older style cap without a lock.

You can just remove the locking mechanism from inside these. A.

I have the same tank and this fits:

The postage (from Germany) hurts a little but they're pretty quick and the cap is nice quality.

Adrian - that's an option but I really wanted a cap without a lock

Count Johnny - That looks like the kind of thing I need :)

Did you use one of the rubber gaskets too? thick or thin?

Assume that most Harley caps up to 1982 will fit also

Thanks
