Performance Cams ?

Trying to establish whether someone has fitted our hosts performance cams to my old bullet that I recently re acquired.
1. If I measure the lobe lift & subtract the base circle from it I get 9.63mm In & 9.3mm Ex I believe that our hosts current performance cams are +1mm up on this.
2. It looks like material has been removed from the crankcase to clear the cams.
3. There are no marks on the cams apart fromn E1 & I1 - believe our hosts now engrave the Part Nos on them.
No signs of wear on the cams.
Just wondering whether these either are performance cams from someone other than our hosts or an early version of their performance cams.
Anyone shed any light ?

Done a bit more research - pretty sure these are "Performance Cams" form our Hosts Part No 200180 as opposed to the "Fast Road" Cams Part No 90023.

Hi Andy, the cams that came as part of my 612 kit were 90023. Hitchcocks data sheet states their lifts as: inlet 0.420 inch (10.67mm) and exhaust 0.395 inch (10.03mm). Yes, the main bearing seal boss has to be ground away almost to the point of breaking through to the seal, to accomodate the sweep of the inlet cam.

Another possibility, Henry Price (PriceParts) does performance cams, does anyone know about these?

AndyC. I agree with your conclusion about the cams. My performance cams (PN 200180 from August 2010) have lifts as follows: inlet=0.3805†and exhaust=0.3597†(these are actual measured using a dial gauge on the pushrods) which agree very closely with yours.
Cheers, ChrisD

Chris - thanks for that.
How do they compare to the standard cams performance wise ?

Ric.
OK more is better - but what are the units of measure on the graph?
How much more (presumably torque) is being produced ?

Andy C, There was no increase in maximum torque, the before and after figures (in whole numbers) were identical.

and thinking about it that torque graph was for a set of Henry Price prototypes not Hitchcock cams I was given to try out.
