Amal Mk 2 on a Bighead?

Has anyone fitted an Amal Concentric Mk2 on a Bighead Bullet and could share the experience please? I am building a BH engine and have acquired a suitable 30mm Mk2 and manifold. Some wise folk have suggested that a Mk1 or a Monobloc might be better and that the Mk2 doesn't idle well leading to tickover problems. I have no previous experience with Mk2s so any lessons learned, any jetting suggestions please and any advice! Ta,
REgards, Mark

Hi Mark, the MK II's are as good as anything you can get and I have fitted loads of them to Bullets of both sizes and just about all states of tune. There is a Fury I worked on in the last RealClassic magazine - a 38 mm job and that started easily and idled fine and ran well, too, as can be seen here. Regards, Paul. ...
