Mikcarb Tubing

I've got a Mikcarb on my '06 Bullet 500. It looks like it has two stubs with provisions for tubing. I'd assume one is an overflow that should drain somewhere behind the swingarm and into the ground, and the other went to the original air filter box (which has since been replaced with a conical filter). What do those of you that have fitted a conical or pancake air filter do with that particular hose? Do you stub it off? Leave it open?

Are you discussing breather/overflow tubes which are part the carb itself, and/or a brass outlet tube found on the rubber inlet manifold?

I suppose I'm referring to the breather/overflow tubes. There's one coming out vertically from the float bowl, which is obviously for the overflow, but what's the purpose of the horizontal one by the enrichener lever? I don't see it discussed anywhere in Pete Snidal's manual or the workshop manual.

That one is the vent tube from the float chamber.
Air is displaced through it whenever the float bowl refills such as when swapping from main to reserve after emptying the bowl under normal use. While not absolutely necessary it's best to keep a downward facing tube on there to stop the possibility of water entering the float bowl and also evaporating fuel that exits via that tube eventually builds into a yellowy/brown sticky mess on the carb body itself.
