Hi All. On stripping the top end of my Connie I noticed wear on one of the exhaust valve stems. Right, I'll replace the valve thought I, it but our hosts and Burton Bits are presently out of stock of part 43521. Mysteriously, the valve in question is stamped 42521 which appears to be a cylinder barrel part no.?? Any thoughts anyone?? , or ideas where I can get one. Thanks. Dez

Valves were always made and supplied by outside companies who often applied their own codes. Enfield valves often have a code starting V, eg V405 (which was for a Bighead Bullet) or sometimes they just read IN or EX or just Enf. I think the number on yours is just a coincidence. Incidentally, while you're doing the heads fit mushroom tappet adjusters to reduce indenting of the valve tip. Our Hosts don't do them but Burtons do, call Carolyn and ask which ones you need, there are several types.
