Hi Guys, Has anyone tried the 120W alternator stator p/n 92020 page 102 in the catalogue? I presume its for use with the orginal rotor? Does the original AC/DC regulator & rectifier cope with the extra power?

I fitted one on my 1999 500 Bullet with no problems. I'd already got the Boyer powerbox to replace the reg/rec and all works well. Just remember to remove your plastic milk-bottle shim from between the alternator and stator before you put the primary chaincase back on and start the bike. Don't ask etc...

Ha ha I'll try not to! Thanks Mark B, I think this 120W alternator is a no brainer for a electric start bike with uprated indicators, also like to ride with the headlight on. Hitchcocks have just confirmed its compatible with the OE reg & rectitier

Mine has the original rotor. I changed it because the reg/rec had failed and cooked my original stator. However, I do still have the original AC regulator which is working fine.

Hi I used to run a 210 watt sparx alt and rec set, now on a lucas 210 set still with sparx box on a 1994 bullet with boyer ign and 60watt headlamp, plenty of power and it does not cook the battery. I enquired from the factory in india re output of std setup and was told 70 to 90 wattsdepending on who winds the coils, true quality control. The ones I use now have the stator coils encapsulated in plastic. Would like a decent horn but instead of beep beep can I pass, something around 100 to 110 decibels that says get out of the way coming through. LOL
